Privacy Policy

MYD Delivery Services (“we”, “us”) provides an API for sending order notifications via WhatsApp and Google Maps lookups on behalf of stores partnered with MYD Delivery. This policy explains what data we process, why, and the rights you have.

2. Data we process
From partner stores (API clients):
- Store name, slug, contact phone, locale, API key.
- Subscribed plan and monthly usage counters.
- API call logs (endpoint, status code, duration, request/response metadata).
From notification recipients (end customers of the stores):
- Phone number (provided by the store at send time).
- Order ID and status, as supplied by the store.
- WhatsApp message ID (used to correlate incoming replies).
- If a recipient replies to the number, their phone is temporarily stored to enforce auto-reply rate limits.
From Google Maps lookups:
- Search terms and results, cached for a limited time to reduce cost and latency.
We do not store the content of sent messages or additional personal data of end customers (name, address, payment, etc.).
3. Purposes
- Deliver the service requested by the partner store (notification delivery, map lookup).
- Enforce plan limits and support billing.
- Prevent abuse and fraud (rate limiting, logging).
- Auto-reply to inbound messages, redirecting the end customer to the store’s official channel.
4. Legal basis
- Performance of a contract with the partner store.
- Legitimate interest for security logging, fraud prevention, and usage control.
- Compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
This policy is aligned with Brazil’s LGPD and, where applicable, GDPR principles.
5. Third-party sharing
To deliver the service, data is transmitted to:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp Cloud API) — sending and receiving messages.
- Google LLC (Maps Platform) — geocoding and places lookups.
- Vercel Inc. — application hosting.
- PostgreSQL database provider — data storage.
We do not sell or share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Retention
- API call logs and send records: up to 12 months.
- WhatsApp message IDs: up to 90 days (solely to correlate replies).
- Google Maps cache: up to 30 days.
- Store account data: for the duration of the contractual relationship, plus any legally required period.
7. Your rights
You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability, deletion, and information about data sharing. End customers should exercise these rights with the store that issued the notification; partner stores may contact us at [email protected].
8. Security
All communication uses HTTPS. We use API-key authentication, HMAC signature validation on webhooks, and least-privilege access to data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated to partner stores.
